Explicit Version. The Urgency's music, far from pretentious or willfully convoluted, takes a fair amount of its influence and energy from Post-Hardcore bands such as At the Drive-in and Glassjaw, and groove-oriented groups like 311. The band's musical maturity progressed through their relocation of the three founding members Ian Molla (guitars), Kevin Coffrin (bass) and Guerin Blask (drums) from Vermont to Brooklyn and the addition of vocal front man, Tyler Gurwicz and further guitar reinforcement by Ryan Siegel. With a great affinity for melody and composition, the songs on The Urgency's debut remain consistently powerful and intensely memorable.
